In the San Antonio Huista micro-region, most farms are small, and coffee is the main source of income for local families. Our partners at Primavera support producers through a program focused on improving and stabilising coffee income. This seasonal lot combines coffees from both long-term partners and new producers, while maintaining high quality and paying healthy premiums.

High altitudes, cool temperatures and humidity create long, slow fermentations of around 40 hours, resulting in a crisp, sweet cup with notes of ripe red berries, dark chocolate and raisins.

Huehuetenango

Located in Guatemala’s north-western highlands near Mexico, Huehuetenango is home to Central America’s highest elevations, with coffee often grown above 2,000 masl. The region’s high altitude, cool climate and protection from frost create ideal conditions for high-quality coffee.

Its remote terrain makes sourcing challenging, with farms often requiring days of travel and local knowledge to reach. We’ve worked with our Guatemalan partners at Primavera for over ten years, discovering exceptional coffees from this remarkable region.
