Rumba

The newest Rumba lot for 2026 has arrived and it's super delicious, sweet and fruity, and it deserves a special box. Ethiopia is a special origin for DAK: they travel there every year and buy a very significant quantity to make sure they have multiple lots that can last until the following harvest.

Rumba this year is a dry anaerobic natural from Tulise Washing Station. This technique is the most straightforward, and doesn't require the fermentation tank to be filled with clean water, which is sometimes a logistical challenge in Ethiopia. After fermentation, the cherries are dried for around 23 days in a semi-shaded environment. The tasting notes are stewed strawberries, apricot and brown sugar, with a very syrupy texture.
