Co-fermented specialty coffee beans
Co-fermented coffees are known for their vivid aromatics, intense sweetness, and unmistakably expressive flavors, often showcasing notes of tropical fruit, berries, spice, or candy-like nuances. They are called co-fermented because the coffee cherries or beans are fermented together with added ingredients such as fruit, spices, or hops, whose aromatic compounds are absorbed into the beans during fermentation.
